I always wanted a patriotic outfit to wear on national occasions and so finally treated myself to one. Given the low price for this waistcoat and bowtie, I was a little apprehensive about the quality and durability of this outfit but anyway placed my order.The package arrived quickly. The garment was protected inside a ziploc plastic bag with a sliding zipper. Opening up, the waistcoat was carefully folded around a paper tissue liner. That was encouraging. Opening up the jacket I can only say… it’s great! It’s made from polyester. The back half is thin, as anticipated, and looks perfectly OK. The front that has the Union Jack on it is much thicker and feels very pleasant. Upon admiring myself in the mirror, I was delighted. For a modest sum I had just the look I was seeking.For regular clothes I am size XL or XXL. To be on the safe side I chose size XXXL for my Union Jack outfit. The fit was perfect for me, not at all loose, so you may wish to go one size up compared to usual.Overall, I am feeling delighted with this purchase.

Waistcoat was too tight and my husband is slim so definitely needed to go up a size. Sadly there wasn’t time. It looked fine on the day.

Looked good for one use but faded completely on a gentle machine wash. We only needed it for one occasion so it didn’t really matter for us but I’d recommend hand washing only. It’s fairly lightweight but the price was good.
