This animatronic ‘grim reaper’ decoration is quite small (the skull is about the size of a coconut) but the design is outstanding, with ragged bats’ wings and a trailing grey hessian ‘body’ that evokes the Dementors from Harry Potter. it has a simple on/off switch and lets off a loud and creepy series of screams and cackling when it picks up sound or motion, combined with flashing red eyes However the sound has to be really loud and the motion has to actually move or touch the model. Additionally the description claims that bats’ wings flap and the skull moves, but neither of those functions were working, and by the time I tested it it was too late to send it back for an exchange or refund. But for £17 what did I expect?I am writing this the day after Halloween and can honestly say that if this thing had operated as advertised it would have scared the living bejeezus out of the kids who came trick or treating, most of whom were 6 or 7 years old. I would have had complaints from parents. There is actually a warning on the label saying it is not suitable for under-14-year-olds, which is probably true. I’m not disapproving – I think it’s a brilliant bit of kit, or would be if it worked, but it is strictly for teenagers – far too scary for trick or treaters. One star off for not flapping his wings.

This is awsome and great value for money. It makes noise, moves, and lights up when a loud noise triggers it. The kids love it. At first I thought it was a bit small but when you unfold and pose it, it’s really good. Better than I expected.

The media could not be loaded. Our family Loved it. We put it on the porch- its sound or movement activated so for example louder food steps or louder voices will initiate the movement, light and sound, without any warning. It scared the trick or treaters, not too much but just enough to make everyone jump and burst out into laughter. Would buy again and would definitely recommend

The media could not be loaded. I got this for halloween with a box ready to send it back, but boy I was wrong, the animation is great with flapping wings and head movement, awesome in my opinion but you can decide for yourself by watching the videoI only have a few complaints.Fabric string came out the box when I got it, very loud, good for scaring people thoughWas tinkering with mechanism and turned and trapped my fingers, so be careful tinkering with it.Overall worth the price and good if you don’t want to cough up £200 for a spirit halloween animatronic

Was better than I expected after reading other reviews. Arrived promptly in a smallish box, once you take it out you need to carefully unfold the wings and just straighten things up a bit. It all work perfectly, eyes, lights, movement, voice and the sensor. Scared the living daylights out of some my daughter’s friends, pretty good value for money. It’s not huge, but once it’s all unfolded and set up it’s more than adequate and larger than you might originally think.

These went down an absolute storm at our halloween party, hung from our velux windows. They’re activated by a flag and will make loud wailing and flap their wings, having two in the same room was perfect with them pretty much in sync.Considering how cheap they are, I’d definitely recommend if you’re planning a halloween party as they’re nice and small once collapsed, but fold out to a decent size.
